Mrs Hannah Awadzi is a Communications Professional and a practicing Journalist,  Hannah is also the Executive Director of an Advocacy Programme called The Special Mothers Project. (specialmothers.org) The Special Mothers Project advocates and creates awareness about cerebral palsy issues and issues affecting families raising children with Special Needs.

Hannah’s interest includes contributing to policy discussions to enhance policy formulation with regards to children with cerebral palsy and other special needs. Hannah has made significant contributions to important laws such as the Disability Act  and the Early Childhood Care and Development Policy and the Labour Act .

Mrs Awadzi is also a Registered Psychologist Assistant with the Ghana Psychological Council and enjoys counseling families especially mothers  nurturing children with Cerebral palsy and other disabilities.

Mrs Awadzi is married with three children, her first child (a girl) lives with cerebral palsy. She is an  author of two books: The Unexpected, which chronicles a part of her journey with her child with Cerebral palsy and Near Divorce, a masterpiece family life book

Hannah has a Master’s degree in Contemporary English Studies from the University of Ghana, she also holds a degree in psychology with Linguistics from the same university as well as a Diploma in Mass Communication from the Ghana Institute of Journalism
